Texts from your clinic
Clinics use PractiScribe, made by PractiScribe LLC, to text their clients. When you agree to texts from a clinic, the clinic sends them through PractiScribe from its own number.
What you’ll receive. Messages about your appointments and care:
- booking confirmations and changes, and reminders before your appointment
- a form to complete before your visit
- a secure link to send photographs your practitioner asked for
- a note that your care instructions are in your client portal
- an earlier time that opened up, if you are on the waitlist
- a reminder when your practitioner asked to see you again (only if you agreed to follow-up reminders)
And, only if you separately agreed to them, occasional messages such as an invitation to book again, a request for a review, or an offer from the clinic. Agreeing to these is never a condition of booking or buying anything.
Texts never include details of your treatment or health. They name the clinic and, where needed, give a secure link.
How you agree. You give permission in writing, when you book or in your client portal, on a screen that shows the wording, for example:
[Clinic name] may text me about my appointments, forms and care instructions. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop.
Your answer is kept with the wording you saw and the date. Permission covers the number you gave, for that clinic only.
How often. Message frequency varies with your appointments and care, typically a few messages around each visit. Follow-up reminders go out at most once a day and marketing messages at most three a day, only between 9 am and 8 pm your time, Monday to Saturday. Appointment and care messages can arrive whenever they are needed, such as a reminder two hours before your visit.
Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan.
To stop. Reply STOP to any message, or PARAR in Spanish. You’ll get one message confirming that you’ll receive no more texts from that clinic, and nothing after it, including appointment reminders. You can also tell the clinic, or change your choices in your client portal. Other common words such as END, CANCEL, QUIT and UNSUBSCRIBE also work.
To start again. Reply START. Appointment and care texts turn back on. Follow-up and marketing texts stay off until you agree to them again.
For help. Reply HELP (or AYUDA) for the clinic’s name and phone number, or contact the clinic directly. You can also reach us at info@practiscribe.com.
Photographs. Never reply to a text with a photograph. Use the secure link the clinic sends you, so your photographs stay private and in your record.
Not for emergencies. Texts are not monitored around the clock. In an emergency, call 911. For anything urgent about your care, call the clinic.
Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Texts are available to mobile numbers in the United States.
Texts to businesses
practiscribe.com does not send text messages to people who join the waitlist or ask about PractiScribe for their business. If that changes, we will ask for your permission first and update these terms.
Privacy
How we handle information is in our privacy policy. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Service providers that deliver the messages for us receive only what they need to deliver them.
Changes
We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new effective date.
